7th Someries Group
History and Background
Our Group has been running for 10 years and has all three sections from
Beavers through to Scouts. We are an Air Scout Group and our membership is
approx 65 members consisting of boys and girls. In fact, we are the only Group
in Someries District that has both sexes represented in all sections. We undertake
all the normal scouting activities including regular camps. Also as Air
Scouts, we undertake other activities such as gliding and parascending.
All sections meet on Monday evenings and the Group is based in Wigmore near Luton
Airport. Anyone interested in joining can come along to one of the meetings and
in the first instance please contact the District Commissioner (see the Someries
