Activities

Hi, It's the 1st Wardown Guides here and it's our job to get YOU interested in Guides.  Here's a rap and then poem about what we do:

Hi! We're the First Wardown Guides,
We like to do things that we've never tried,
Swimming, ice-skating, canoeing too,
You never know what you can do.

Learn your laws and get enrolled,
Don't be shy now get involved,
We also do things for charity,
that's why we had a "D" party.

You can join us anywhere,
Come and see us if you dare,
Our Captains are all really great,
Unless of course you turn up late!

At our meetings we have such fun,
Playing games in the Sun,
But Guides is much, much more you see,
It's a world wide community.

As the Guides have told you, we have supported Mencap for the past three years by holding a "D" Party.  On each occasion we have raised about £150 by selling teas and running side-shows.  Last year we invited our local Members of Parliament and enjoyed a reciprocal invitation to meet Margaret Moran at the Palace of Westminster for a guided tour.
