History and Background

The Young Leader Unit takes members from all of the Groups in Icknield district and is open to both male and female members. Young Leaders are members aged between 14-18 years old and they work in Beaver, Cub or Scout sections within their Scout Groups to assist in the delivery of the programme.  An important part of the Young Leader scheme is to provide training for its members to develop the skills needed to lead.  This training is split into a number of modules and these are covered during our regular meetings.  Activities are planned both within the regular meetings and at weekends with an emphasis on supporting the members in the Groups within which they work.

Meeting Times

The unit meet monthly on a Tuesday evening.

Programme

Our next meeting is on 11th March and will include training modules covering dealing with bad behaviour and games. - contact us for more details.
