Location

Lea Valley District covers the area of Luton west of Marsh Road and the Lower Luton Road.  It extends beyond the Borough boundary to include the villages of Caddington and Slip End.

History

The District was formed in 1986 as a result of the merger of parts of the previous Chiltern and Stockwood Districts.

The District Badge

Lea Valley District Badge (3014 bytes) Our badge shows St Mary's Church (the town parish church in the centre of Luton), and the River Lea which has its source in Luton.
