FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Beaver Scouts Christingle
Boys have a party and celebrate with Christingles
December 1998 -- Over one hundred Beaver Scouts and their
Leaders from the colonies in Icknield District enjoyed a Christingle service and party at
the weekend. The event was held at Warden Hill School. The games and fun were
led by Julian Parsons whose wife is a leader at Sundon Park Colony. Later Angela
Thomas, a lay reader from St. Augustine's, showed the boys how to make a Christingle and
explained the significance of all of the items used. The Beavers then all made their
own Christingles and some of them from Blenheim and St Andrew's Colonies are seen in
the picture.
