History

The Someries District was formed in 1967. Since then, as a result of re-organisation and changes in local needs, two Groups have been closed and a third transferred to another Luton District. Meanwhile new Groups have been opened and Someries District now has eight thriving Scout Groups, including an Air Scouts Group. The District also has a strong Venture Scout Unit and an equally active District Fellowship.
